Senior Data Engineer - AI & Machine Learning Focus (Global Brand - Germany, Hybrid)
Location: Düsseldorf (preferred), or Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt - Hybrid Model
A globally recognised brand is currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their high-performing data team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering and AI/ML innovation, contributing to transformative projects at scale. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in data engineering, paired with a solid understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software engineers, to build and scale robust data platforms that power intelligent solutions used around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support ML/AI applications.
• Partner with data science teams to optimise model training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Develop and implement best practices around CI/CD for data workflows and ML pipelines.
• Work closely with cloud architecture teams to ensure scalable and secure data solutions.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of machine learning/AI principles and their application within data platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms - GCP or Azure preferred.
• Solid grasp of CI/CD practices, version control, and automated testing within data/ML environments.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus but not essential.

Additional Details:
Hybrid working model with flexibility; preference for candidates based in Düsseldorf, though Berlin, Munich, or Frankfurt are also possible hubs.
