Data Science Officer

Job Description

Reset Tech is seeking a Data Science Officer to provide critical support to it’s Data Science team in managing projects, coordinating with research and delivery partners, and maintaining operational excellence across service delivery pipelines. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is eager to help translate complex data science research into real-world impact.

Position Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Delivery

• Support project setup, planning, and execution across multiple concurrent research and data science initiatives.
• Support resource allocation and administrative coordination for research infrastructure (e.g., data access, compliance).
• Maintain project tracking systems, documentation, and timelines to ensure smooth delivery.
• Assist in maintaining the data procurement and fulfillment pipelines used by Reset Tech EU and its partners.
• Support the evaluation of project outputs, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to protocols.

Partnership & Vendor Management

• Support the onboarding and coordination of new research partners and data suppliers.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings, manage communication follow-ups, and track partner deliverables.
• Help maintain relationship management systems and documentation for ongoing partnerships.

Internal Engagement

• Help organize internal knowledge-sharing sessions and shared documentation repositories, and support colleagues in understanding the status of the technical infrastructure and research projects.
• Option to be involved with programmatic technology work, such as supporting the creation of newsletters and websites.

Your profile

• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, program support, or operations, preferably in a research, data, or nonprofit context.
• Demonstrable knowledge or experience of data science research workflows or data-oriented projects.
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
• Experience managing partner or vendor relationships.
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with global collaborators.
• High level of cultural competence and ability to work effectively across time zones and diverse teams.
• Familiarity with digital platforms, data research tools (e.g., RStudio, social listening tools), media ecosystems, or technology and democracy issues is a plus.
• Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
• Non-essential experience: managing digital products such as newsletters and websites.
