Information About The Position

The Fulfilment domain at Vinted Go covers three business lines: offline verification for high‑value fashion and electronics, and a new recommerce initiative to resell orphaned parcels through the marketplace. Two specialised hubs operate in London and Hamburg, handling verification and logistical processes, while the new line will be launched in France (Lille). As a Decision Scientist you will work with cross‑functional product teams—Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers—to detect bottlenecks, propose product improvements, and evaluate initiatives using statistical methods and simulations. You will also become the domain’s go‑to expert for all data‑related ad‑hoc requests and automated reports/dashboards, developing automated tools and measurable metrics that increase decision quality.

Roles in Data Science & Analytics

• Decision Scientists identify opportunities, size them, and develop automated tools that increase the quality of product and business decisions.
• Data Scientists design and maintain production‑grade statistical and machine learning algorithms, ensuring algorithmic opportunities are addressed optimally.
• Analytics Engineers curate data, architect, build, and maintain efficient, reliable data models and pipelines.

In this position, you’ll

• Collaborate with team and stakeholders to identify opportunities and translate business requirements into data models.
• Propose and implement business performance metrics and set up monitoring.
• Enable team and stakeholders to independently leverage data for business insights via self‑service and dashboarding tools (Looker).
• Ensure new business initiatives are reviewed by a decision scientist and proven impactful.
• Bring data‑driven ideas to improve hub processes and proactively flag issues.
• Present ad‑hoc deep‑dives, experiments, dashboards, or recurring analyses in optimal formats.
• Define A/B testing requirements and analyze test results.

About You

• A good communicator who can present complex topics clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
• A proactive individual thriving in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment.
• Passionate about implementing structure where little exists.
• Fluent in SQL and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with a BI tool (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
• Statistically proficient (regression analysis, A/B testing).
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Advantageous: familiarity with a data transformation tool (dbt or dataform) and version control (git).
