We are the benchmark in the field of drive and vehicle simulation (CAE), covering the entire spectrum from components to complete systems for virtual validation and development. In addition to further developing existing tool chains, we also investigate and pursue disruptive approaches for a wide variety of tasks, always staying at the cutting edge of technology and keeping our finger on the pulse. We quickly identify market needs and implement them with precision. Our customers and employees are both national and international, and we maintain direct contact with them.

As a highly motivated department head, you will join the management of the department with forward‑looking technology projects, take on the strategic orientation, the acquisition of new customers and the maintenance of existing customers, and personnel responsibility for the department together with the management team.

Your Tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the personnel and sales of approximately 35 employees and will share responsibility for personnel selection and development as well as the further development of partners and approximately 20 employees at IAV India.
  • You are strong in acquisition and building customer relationships and already have your own automotive network.
  • You will coordinate various projects, including budget and deadline tracking and resource planning.
  • You will develop strategies for the department in line with the corporate strategy.
  • Your visionary strength and initiative are in harmony with risk‑aware and economical action.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the applicable corporate processes are implemented and measured in the department.
  • You have strong emotional intelligence, enabling you to regularly and systematically assess the wishes, needs, and expectations of customers and employees.
  • You are skilled at handling difficult conversations and prepare for them carefully.
  • You have a high level of mental agility, which is essential for industrial projects.

Necessary Skills:

  • Completed technical degree, preferably with a specialization in structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, 1D and 3D CFD simulation, or similar, preferably with a doctorate.
  • Experience in setting up and using tools and tool chains for investigating and solving technical problems with the aid of simulations.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • International experience in the context of different markets and customers.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • High level of motivation, strong sense of responsibility.
  • Confident manner when dealing with customers, high degree of teamwork and social skills.
  • German and English language skills at C1 level.
