Design Engineer (marketing) - fully remote possible

We create and deploy AI enhanced solutions that make doctors’ lives easier, patients’ care better, and healthcare systems more efficient. As a Design Engineer at Sonia, you’ll be responsible for creating user-centric, conversion-optimized designs that not only look great but perform. This is a hybrid role where design excellence meets technical execution: you’ll design and implement landing pages, marketing assets, and user flows that directly support growth and engagement. You’ll work closely with our marketing and engineering teams to craft consistent and compelling experiences—across the entire user journey, from first impression to loyal user. Design and launch high-converting landing pages and marketing funnels Create visual assets for ads, campaigns, and brand communication Optimize checkout and onboarding flows for maximum conversion Write and refine UI copy to guide users and support product messaging Translate ideas into prototypes and polished user interfaces (Figma to code) Implement your designs using React, TypeScript, and CSS Collaborate closely with marketing to ensure consistent branding and messaging Work independently, take ownership of quality and iterate quickly based on feedback You’ll thrive in this role if you bring You are a multidisciplinary designer who bridges the gap between aesthetics and performance. You’re comfortable owning a concept from early sketch to final implementation, and you understand that every pixel needs a purpose. You have experience working in dynamic environments (startups, small teams), are highly self-directed, and hold a high bar for quality in your work. Must-Haves Proficiency in English (C1+) Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX, landing pages, and responsive web design Front-End Expertise: 2-3 years experience to convert designs into code in one or more of the following: React/Next.js/Angular/Remix; Typescript/Javascript; ChakraUI/TailwindCSS/CSS Deep experience with Figma, GitHub, CSS/HTML Demonstrated ability to design and ship complete flows from idea to launch Structured thinking, strong sense for user behavior and visual hierarchy Nice to have Background in marketing, content creation, or copywriting Experience in the healthtech industry Degree in Interface/Product Design or similar (less graphic/print) Personal website or online portfolio with live examples (please provide link/ material) Experience working in or with startups or on smaller, fast-paced projects Proficiency in German (C1+) Why you’ll love working with us High degree of ownership and creative freedom A product-focused environment where quality and performance matter A collaborative team that values learning, pragmatism, and support Attractive compensation aligned with your skills Flexible work arrangements 30 days of vacation per year Ready to apply?
