DevOps Engineer (All Genders)

About our client:
Our client is a company builder based in Cologne with a strong focus on digital business models in banking, insurance, and financial services. In interdisciplinary teams, they design and implement modern software solutions, from the initial idea to live operations.

Your role:

• Develop and operate cloud-based financial applications using modern software architectures.
• Support Product Owners and developers in defining and implementing new features.
• Apply DevOps principles, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and automated testing.
• Analyze and optimize existing systems and processes.
• Take ownership as a Cloud Services Expert with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Contribute to frontend tasks (e.g., JavaScript) in close collaboration with the team.

Your profile:

• Passionate about developing and operating IT landscapes with curiosity for new technologies.
• Hands-on experience in software development, IT system deployment, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of distributed systems (Microservices, Self-Contained Systems) and container technologies.
• Experienced with Git, ideally Docker and GitLab.
• Initial experience with web applications, databases, and cloud operations.
• Structured, proactive, and a strong team player.
• Able to communicate ideas clearly, solve problems creatively, and embrace challenges.
• Eager to learn and grow professionally within a collaborative team environment.
