Dev(Sec)Ops Team Lead for AI Legal Tech Startup

We're seeking a pioneering DevOps Team Lead to join one of the fastest growing legal tech companies in Europe. With an established product already serving customers in the market, we're now scaling our infrastructure to support continued growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish DevOps best practices, infrastructure, and security protocols for our proven platform. Reporting directly to the CTO, the DevOps Team Lead will build a team supporting our 10-person development squad and establish a foundation for scalable, secure infrastructure.

Tasks

DevOps Strategy & Implementation:

• Architect and implement scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Establish security protocols, monitoring systems, and disaster recovery procedures
• Drive DevOps best practices across development teams

Team Leadership:

• Build and lead a high-performing DevOps team from scratch
• Develop team members' skills while establishing a collaborative DevOps culture
• Create clear processes for infrastructure management and security compliance

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with development squads to improve deployment workflows
• Partner with the CTO and leadership on technology roadmap planning
• Establish metrics and reporting to track infrastructure performance and security

Requirements

Technical Expertise:

• 5+ years of DevOps experience with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and modern monitoring tools
• Strong security background including implementation of security best practices

Leadership Skills:

• Track record building and developing technical teams
• Experience implementing DevOps processes in growing organizations
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams

Strategic Vision:

• Ability to create and execute DevOps roadmaps aligned with business objectives
• Experience scaling infrastructure to support growing user bases
• Problem-solving mindset with focus on automation and continuous improvement
