The Role:
ISS is seeking an experienced Digital Learning Coach with a strong background in educational technology and curriculum design to support teachers and students in meaningful, responsible, and innovative uses of digital technology.
This role is part of a Digital Learning Coaching team, with two Digital Learning Coaches working collaboratively across both ISS campuses to support learning from EY3-12. The position is based at our Degerloch Campus.
The Digital Learning Coach works closely with the Director of IT and is a member of the Office of IT and Digital Learning, alongside technical specialists, platform specialists, and office management staff. While line‑managed by the Director of IT, the focus of the role is firmly on teaching, learning, and curriculum impact rather than technical operations.
The role combines hands‑on classroom coaching with the strategic development of digital and AI‑related learning, aligned with the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp) and current EU and German AI and data protection legislation. The role has a strong educational focus and is ideal for an educator who enjoys coaching, collaboration, and shaping future‑ready learning.
Why this Role Matters:
Digital technologies and AI are reshaping how students learn, create, and engage with the world. At ISS, this role plays a key part in ensuring that technology use is intentional, age‑appropriate, ethical, and educationally meaningful.
The Digital Learning Coach helps students develop critical digital and AI literacy while supporting teachers to design learning experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and future‑focused. Working as part of a coaching team and a wider IT Office ensures that pedagogical goals, technical systems, and compliance requirements are aligned and sustainable.
