Digital Operations Manager (m/f/d)

In the Digital Hub, we bundle central digital competencies for all publishing divisions – with a focus on standardization, stability and performance of our websites. As Digital Operations Manager, you will ensure that ongoing operations run smoothly, support issues are resolved quickly and technical developments are implemented properly.

What you can expect from us

• You are responsible for the operational operation of our web platforms and ensure stable, reliable website operation
• You look after the WordPress “construction kit” of our websites: technical updates, maintenance and plugin management
• You are the central point of contact for first-level and second-level support for editorial teams and publishing departments for website questions and technical issues
• You take over error analysis, troubleshooting and coordinate the rectification during operation
• You will also be responsible for the support and technical maintenance of our websites outside the WordPress “modular system” – including service provider management
• You support technical projects, rollouts and the introduction of new tools/features on our websites
• You set up a central documentation system (operation, processes, standards) and maintain it continuously

What we want from you

• You have completed training/studies or have a comparable qualification in the field of digital media, web technology, (online) communication, IT – or relevant practical experience
• You have practical experience in operating and supporting websites – ideally in WordPress (themes/plugins/updates) and typical web setups
• You work in a structured manner in support and operational processes, can prioritize and communicate clearly – even when “things are burning”
• You have experience in managing external service providers or are confident in formulating requirements clearly and following up on implementation
• You have a strong hands-on mentality, are solution-oriented and enjoy providing technical support to publishing departments and getting things “up and running” reliably
• You are a team player and communicative: You enjoy working with editorial teams, publishing departments, technology and service providers and can communicate complex technical topics in an understandable and solution-oriented way
