Join to apply for the Digital Technology Site Manager (m/f/d) role at GE Vernova . This position is based in Mönchengladbach and also covers the Kassel site.

This role is suited for a highly motivated, growth‑oriented leader responsible for developing the digital strategy and managing the execution of various initiatives. You will interact closely with Plant Business Leaders, Digital Product Teams, and CIOs. The role requires significant experience in project & program execution, strong supply‑chain business process knowledge, digital software product expertise, and a good understanding of both IT and OT within a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact for plant leadership & managing directors, interfacing with global teams and CIOs.
  • Effectively communicate status, issues, budget, and risk to leadership and various levels of factory leadership.
  • Drive strategic solutions deployment, adoption and utilization; advocate standards & transformation.
  • Develop the DT roadmap for Mönchengladbach and Kassel aligned to the global strategy.
  • Contribute to simplification of application landscape.
  • Support rollout of DT programs aligned to all domains.
  • Optimize and accelerate global manufacturing operations with DT solutions through design and implementation of automation/robotics solutions and connected systems that integrate machines, sensors, and enterprise systems.
  • Implement shopfloor monitoring, dashboards, and data‑driven insights to improve operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities and develop solutions to improve KPIs in partnership with global Digital Technology.
  • Act as a digital change agent, identifying and understanding capabilities driven at the company level and re‑use available solutions, standards and best practices.
  • Support site compliance with policies, standards and rules as defined by CISO, unions, and works council.
  • Ensure compliance with DT processes, standards and strategy.
  • Ensure operations of existing solutions with visibility to end‑to‑end issue resolution.
  • Ensure core and non‑core infrastructure operations and continuity plan & execution.
  • Drive cost efficiency (ensure hardware & software rationalization, PC, GCOM, etc.).

Basic Qualifications

  • Master in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent (MBA preferred).
  • Proven professional work experience within supply‑chain manufacturing.
  • Supply‑chain expertise through business engagement, including factory value‑stream processes, planning, sourcing & logistics.
  • Fluent in English and German.

Technical Expertise

  • Proven product/project management experience.
  • Manufacturing project/program experience preferred; experience with solution architecture, data architecture, software development and global supply chain (GSC) operations.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of IT/OT segmentation processes and solutions.
  • Experience with IIoT platforms (Vimana Elevate, PTC ThingWorx, etc.).
  • Awareness of emerging technology capabilities (AI, ML, VR, AR, big data, etc.).

Business Acumen

  • Ability to convert obscure and ambiguous requirements and outcomes into a clear digital product strategy that creates business value.
  • Experience defining, implementing and using shopfloor IT tools (Manufacturing Execution System, Quality, ERP, PLM, MRP, EAM) and Lean principles.
  • Results‑oriented, outcome‑focused mindset.
  • Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, is externally focused, and influences business and DT.
  • Ability to use expertise and knowledge to challenge the status quo and define a more strategic approach, defending that position.
