Their unique R&D approach combines curated patient samples, advanced bioinformatics, and proprietary patient-derived models to discover and validate novel therapeutic targets.

We are seeking a
Director of Bioinformatics & Biomathematics
(m/w/d) to join the leadership team and drive innovation at the interface of computation and oncology drug discovery.

Your impact

• Lead and inspire a cross-disciplinary team of 10 experts.
• Unlock insights from
  large-scale omics datasets within oncology
  to accelerate drug discovery.
• Apply
  computational approaches
  to support
  target identification and biomarker discovery
  .
• Design and optimize high-throughput bioinformatics pipelines ensuring data quality and reproducibility.
• Apply and advance
  statistical and machine learning methods
  to model biological systems and predict outcomes.
• Collaborate with IT, clinical data science, and external partners to integrate discovery and clinical pipelines.
• Represent the function internally and externally, translating complex findings into clear insights.

What you bring

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proven leadership and line management in oncology bioinformatics/biomathematics (industry experience preferred).
• Deep expertise in
  large-scale omics data within the oncology domain
• Strong knowledge of
  statistical and ML methods
  and their application to biological data.
• Strong track record in
  computational approaches
  for
  target identification & biomarker discovery in oncology
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar, with experience in bioinformatics workflows and databases.
• Collaborative mindset, strategic vision, and passion for advancing precision oncology.
