We are looking for a Director ESG Accounting, Reporting and Controlling based in Bonn, Germany.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

Environment Social & Governance (ESG) Reporting is critical to an organization like DHL Express. We are looking for an Experienced controller, ideally with Exposure to ESG topics to support our Global ESG Accounting, Controlling and Reporting team based in Bonn. This is a role where you can make a significant contribution to the success of DHL Express as we strive to be a more sustainable organization.

Key tasks include:

• Monitor monthly emission reporting on organisational level, and ensuring overall sustainability Data Quality assurance incl. regional data quality checks
• Prepare standard internal reporting incl. ESG deck and EMS input
• Prepare ad hoc analysis e.g. for Express BPM and other internal requests
• Lead the full development and implementation of improvements to increase efficiency of ESG Reporting processes without compromising quality.
• Coordinate and monitor annual ESG audit activities on divisional level, Prepare and present at audit meetings, and accountable for delivery of improvements as identified fro global related topics
• Responsible for adherence to ESG controls according to the implemented Control framework & Project Support, manage required projects and system implementations as needed
• ESG Forecasting / Planning, including Monthly Forecasting, and supporting ESG planning in line with Corporate Requirements.
• Prepare and Update Risk Reporting for ESG related topics

Do you have what it takes?

In addition to being the kind of person who likes to roll up their sleeves and make a difference, this role needs

• Minimum of 5-7 years total experience across Finance and/or Sustainability fields
• Knowledge of the reporting systems of DHL Group (CREST; TM1; PBI) will be under consideration, but it is not mandatory requirement
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, always considering the bigger picture.
• Pragmatic and result-oriented, working in a structured and accurate manner.
• Good understanding of stakeholder management and project team management, and able to work effectively within a global, multicultural, cross-functional environment.
• Integrity and loyalty & able to work autonomously and independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure.
• Ability to work in a team environment and mentor junior colleagues.
• Strong all round communicator: written, oral and presentation skills,
• Being advanced in spoken and written English, with Fluent German an advantage.
