Job Description

Title: Director for Hardware Services, EMEA (m/w/d)
Location: Langen, Germany
Employment type: Full‑time – Permanent Contract
Working format: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

We are seeking an experienced and results‑oriented leader to oversee all hardware‑service activities across the EMEA region and to build and manage our warehouse in Langen. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our hardware services, from installation and maintenance to repair, upgrade, and delivery, ensuring top quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize hardware‑service processes in alignment with corporate goals and customer needs.
• Build and manage the warehouse in Langen, designing efficient logistics and storage processes.
• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of technicians and service experts, fostering a high‑performance and collaborative culture.
• Ensure high‑quality execution of all service activities—including installation, maintenance, repair, spare‑part management, and troubleshooting—while meeting strict quality and safety standards.
• Work closely with customers to analyse and implement their requirements and guarantee an excellent service experience.
• Plan and manage the service budget with a focus on efficiency and resource conservation, taking responsibility for profit and loss.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant statutory, technical, and internal hardware‑service policies.
• Monitor industry trends and identify and implement innovative technologies to continuously improve the service offering.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with hardware suppliers and external service providers to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost control.
• Control and utilize SAP Business ByDesign (or comparable ERP systems) to monitor shipping, inventory, and inventories.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in engineering, information technology or a related field; a master’s degree is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in hardware services or IT operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Comprehensive technical understanding of hardware solutions, especially scanner technology or a comparable technical field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a dynamic, international environment with significant result ownership.
• Strong analytical skills and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; French is a plus.
• High level of social competence and communication strength when engaging customers, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel within the EMEA region to support regional hardware‑service processes.
