Director (m/w/d) Product Compliance

Your tasks

• Take on central legal responsibility in the development and approval of our fully autonomous L4 vehicle, with a focus on product safety, compliance, and liability regarding automated driving functions
• Collaborate closely with Homologation Engineering, Autonomous Driving, Regulatory Affairs, IT Security, and Vehicle Development to ensure regulatory compliance in Germany and the EU
• Support homologation and engineering teams in ensuring legal conformity of vehicle features
• Review technical documentation and certifications for legal accuracy and contribute actively to product safety
• Monitor legislative initiatives and regulatory developments related to automated driving (e.g., StVG §1d ff., EU ADS Regulation, UNECE regulations, product safety directives)
• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and expert committees on compliance-related matters

Your profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Zweites Staatsexamen)
• Profound knowledge of product safety law and regulatory requirements, ideally with experience in the automotive sector
• Experience working with technical departments and the ability to understand technical and engineering contexts
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
