Your Responsibilities
Responsible for developing market segments and acquiring new customer relationships, as well as maintaining and expanding existing relationships with corporate and private clients.
Consistently strives to maximize revenue and foster relationships through effective negotiation of services and cost control.
Oversees the proper preparation and execution of contracts, orders, customer relations, menus, memos, costs, files, etc.
Organizes and conducts staff meetings to coordinate successful events.
Develops business plans, budgets, revenue targets, and forecasts for room rentals and prepares reports to monitor progress.
Participates in meetings to ensure communication between departments and to guarantee customer needs are met.
Meets with key clients and ensures other customers are informed about the success of events.
Conducts property tours for prospective clients, owners, and new managers.
Attends staff and other hotel meetings.
What We Are Looking For A Director of Groups, Meetings & Event Sales who represents our Hilton brand, works in the best interest of our guests, and collaborates effectively with other team members. To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the following qualities, behaviors, skills, and values:
Extensive professional experience in a property of similar quality and size
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team to exceed expectations
Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop strategies accordingly
Excellent sales capabilities and the ability and willingness to coach team members in sales techniques
Outstanding organizational and planning skills
Proven experience in a similar position with a successful track record
Excellent rhetorical and language skills in both German and English
