Position Overview

Brainloop, a Diligent brand, seeks an experienced technical leader to head its Munich technology operations and drive infrastructure modernization. This hybrid role blends technical transformation leadership, client engagement and site management. The Site Leader will oversee Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure Operations, manage outsourced datacenters, and lead AWS cloud migration projects, ensuring operational excellence, scalability and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee outsourced datacenter management with strong security and compliance alignment.
• Drive technology transformation projects, including cloud readiness and migration to the AWS ecosystem.
• Establish and maintain SRE best practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Lead as the executive on site, facilitating communication between global and local teams.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer obsession.
• Optimize relationships with outsourced datacenter and technology partners.
• Negotiate service levels, ensure compliance, and manage vendor performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Security, and Operations) to deliver best‑in‑class services.
• Serve as a technical and commercial interface with key enterprise clients in the DACH region.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for customers and executives.
• Represent Brainloop and Diligent at customer meetings, industry events, and executive briefings.

Required Experience / Skills

• 10+ years in Build & Release Engineering / Site Reliability.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field.
• Proven experience managing outsourced datacenter services, operations, and leading large‑scale AWS migration programs.
• Strong vendor management and contract oversight skills.
• Executive‑level client‑facing capability and comfort representing the company in high‑stakes settings.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teams.
• Fluency in German and English.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within AWS or an AWS Partner organization.
• Previous experience in technology transformation leadership.
