Role Overview:

As the Director Technical Proposal & Project Management , you lead the team that transforms customer requirements into strong technical proposals and competitive costings. You oversee customer onboarding after contract award and ensure smooth, high-quality, end-to-end project delivery. You are accountable for project P&L performance, risk management, change request coordination, and continuous process improvement across the IDOC project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead creation of technical proposals aligned with customer needs and Veridos’ strategic positioning
Manage and standardize the IDOC customer onboarding process
Oversee end-to-end project execution (scope, schedule, budget, quality)
Monitor project P&L, forecast accuracy, and margin improvements
Coordinate customer change requests with controlled assessments
Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Finance
Lead, mentor, and develop the proposal and project management team
Improve processes, tools, and methodologies across proposal and project workflows

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

8–10+ years of professional experience, incl. 3+ years in leadership, ideally in identity documents, secure printing, or high‑tech industries

Proven end‑to‑end project management and P&L ownership experience

Strong analytical, cost modelling, and project management skills

Fluent in English; German and additional languages are an advantage

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, customer orientation, and strategic mindset

Experience working with international, multicultural teams and governmental customers is a plus

Proficient use of MS Office applications
The position requires a willingness to travel of approx. 40% (including to third and emerging countries)
