The position is a fixed‑term, 3‑year appointment (EG 13 TV‑L, full‑time) offering the opportunity to pursue a doctorate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out research in acoustics‑oriented design with a focus on computational acoustics.
• Apply for and work on research projects.
• Publish research findings and participate in national and international conferences.
• Support the development of the in‑house FEM code elementary parallel solver (elPaSo).
• Participate in teaching at the university (preparation, implementation of courses, supervision of students’ work).

Qualifications

• Degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical subject.
• Very good knowledge of English and at least basic knowledge of German.
• Solid understanding of vibroacoustic and finite element method.
• Experience with programming (e.g. C++) or scripting languages (Python, MATLAB).
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment; high proficiency in written and spoken English.
