Two doctoral positions (0.5 E13) are available at TUM with starting dates and , in association with Professor G. Friesecke. Appointments are initially one year, renewable for an additional two years.
Our group focuses on analysis and algorithm design in electronic structure theory—especially tensor network methods—and optimal transport. One doctoral candidate will be appointed in each area.
Successful applicants will hold or be about to complete a Master’s in mathematics, and will have prior expertise in a relevant area.
