The Institute of Integrative Cell Biology and Physiology in the Faculty of Biology at the University of Münster is inviting applications for a

at the earliest possible date. We are offering a part‑time position (65%) on a fixed‑term basis for three years. Full‑time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

• The position is tied to working towards a doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of developmental cell biology and genetics.
• In the three‑year project, mechanistic questions related to organ morphogenesis and cell migration in Drosophila melanogaster are to be addressed using genetic, molecular and imaging techniques.
• Teaching duties involve supervision of undergraduate students at the Bachelor and Master level.
• The prerequisite for this appointment is a M.Sc. degree in biology, biochemistry or another related discipline.
• Candidates with a strong background in cell or developmental biology, molecular biology or genetics are encouraged to apply.
• Applications from candidates interested in quantitative imaging are especially welcome.
• A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
• German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.
