EHS Safety Engineer (m/w/*)

Location: 3M Neuss, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Job Description

As an EHS Safety Engineer at 3M Neuss, you will utilize your expertise to advance our shared success.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and support the EHS Manager at the Neuss RDO and Hilden Pilot Plant.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and the 5.6 clause of the German Arbeitsschutzgesetz.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for EMEA RDO facilities.
• Promote EHS culture and develop EHS training programs.
• Collaborate with employees at all levels and participate in EMEA EHS RDO initiatives.
• Implement improvements in EHS management systems and site coordination.
• Conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and support audits.
• Advise on procurement of equipment and workplace design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Qualified as "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" per local safety law.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry or safety profession.
• Excellent listening skills and strong communication in German and English.

Preferred Knowledge

• Extensive experience in EHS responsibilities at an R&D facility.
• Expertise in handling chemicals, PSA, lock-out tag-out, machine safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and risk management.
• Audit training or audit performance experience.
• Experience working with all levels of an organization.
• Strong prioritization skills.

Job Details

• On-site job in Neuss.
• Travel: up to 10% within EMEA.
• Full-time.
