E&I Engineer

Job Title: E&I EngineerLocation: Hamburg, GermanyDuration: 6-month contract, starting ASAPHours: Site-based, 12 hours/day, 6 days/week (Sundays off) Role Overview:We are working with a client seeking a German-speaking E&I Engineer to join their construction project near Hamburg on an initial 6-month contract, seeing the project through from commissioning to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on site, providing technical support to ensure smooth project execution. This is a hands-on, site-based role, and fluency in German is mandatory. Key Responsibilities:Develop pre-commissioning test procedures.Coordinate pre-commissioning activities:Address any issues with the engineering team.Coordinate with vendors.Maintain the pre-commissioning database.Participate in commissioning activities.Provide on-site operations assistance.Develop a maintenance database for all equipment and create a maintenance plan. Candidate Requirements:Fluent in German (mandatory).Proven experience in a lead or key engineering role on a construction project, ideally within a small team.Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems.Hands-on experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance planning.Ability to work long site hours (12 hours/day, 6 days/week).Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently on site.
