Electrical Engineer II

Position Summary:

Milacron has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer, Equipment Design who can join our team in Batavia, OH and will work in a team environment and be responsible for the complete electrical design package required for complex plastic machinery.  The design package will include electrical schematics, layouts, interconnections and BOM's all produced in accordance with NFPA and ANSI standards.

Work You'll Do:

• Review machine orders for content needed to fulfill customer requirements.
• Determine the machine line interface requirements with multiple departmental disciplines.
• Produce the electrical drawing package and BOM's for machinery.
• Work with shop personnel as they build, test and validate machinery.
• Support sales team.
• Support service team.

Basic Qualifications:

BS Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience/training plus additional specialized training related to the position.

5+ years relevant engineering experience.

Working knowledge of industrial products and/or subsystems (Drives, Motors, PLC's).

Experience with electro-mechanical systems.

Experience with Servo motors, servo drives, pumps, VFD's.

Understanding of power concepts, power savings, including integrated electronics (piezo electric, servos, inverters etc., hybrid mechanisms)

Working knowledge of NFPA and ANSI Standards

Proficient in ECAD design to produce wiring diagrams and layouts.

Proficient in creating/structuring BOM's in MRP system.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven technical, analytical, creative, and innovative problem-solving.

Experience with Aucotec Engineering Base or ePlan.

Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne MRP system.

Experience with Windchill.
