Electrical Engineer – Green Hydrogen & Electrolyzer Systems 📍 North Rhine-Westphalia Location 🔧 Sector: Green Hydrogen / Electrolyzer Technology What you’ll be doing💚Lead the electrical engineering design, installation and commissioning of PEM electrolyzer systems on customer sites.💚Oversee third-party electrical contractors and liaise with local supplier networks to ensure all electrical scope is delivered on time and to specification.💚Collaborate closely with Project Managers and the R&D department to validate electrical designs, ensure compatibility and support continuous improvement.💚Plan and execute electrical Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) according to current standards, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the system.💚Develop comprehensive technical documentation and logs covering electrical installation, commissioning steps, fault analysis and system hand-over. What we’re looking for💚Completed technical qualification (e.g., mechatronics, electrical engineering) with relevant professional experience in heavy industrial or plant-based electrical systems.💚Several years of hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of industrial plants, ideally in hydrogen, power systems or electrolysis technologies.💚Strong understanding of electrical design, power distribution, control systems, safe work practices, and the associated regulatory / safety standards.💚Proficient in MS Office and comfortable generating structured technical reports.💚Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt tone and style depending on audience and situation.💚Willingness to travel internationally and stay on-site for extended periods when required.💚A self-starter mentality: you take responsibility, align your work with company goals and drive continuous improvement.💚A true team player: you foster cross-departmental cooperation and harness diversity for holistic knowledge transfer.
