Overview

I’m working with a pioneering company in the medical devices sector, known for developing innovative solutions that improve patient care and transform healthcare technologies. Based in Berlin, my client is focused on creating cutting‑edge medical electronics that are safe, reliable, and life‑saving. They are now looking for a skilled Electronics Team Lead to lead a talented team in the design and development of their next‑generation medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of electronics engineers in the development of medical devices, ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electronics projects for medical devices, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with R&D, product management, and regulatory teams to ensure product designs align with user and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the design and development of medical electronics, including PCB design, embedded systems, and signal processing systems.
  • Ensure that designs meet stringent medical device standards for safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, mechanical, quality assurance) to integrate electronic systems with other components of the medical devices.
  • Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure that medical devices meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve development processes, reduce time to market, and enhance product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing electronics for medical devices.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Expertise in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad) and embedded software (e.g., C, C++).
  • Deep understanding of medical device standards, safety, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting and debugging medical electronics systems.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
