Responsibilities

• In the test center and on customer sites, you will commission railway signaling systems and subsystem components, verify their functions and adjust settings.
• Integrate extensions, carry out modifications, replace parts or modules, and set correction values based on performance indicators.
• Troubleshoot and analyse faults, identify root causes, and estimate repair effort.
• Produce documentation such as test, measurement, and fault logs.
• Coordinate work plans with the customer, enter data into customer systems in collaboration with your team.
• Support teammates, provide instruction where required, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering apprenticeship (e.g. Elektroniker/Mechatroniker/Elektriker for plant engineering) and a state‑certified technician qualification in electrical engineering or mechatronics.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of rail technology is a plus.
• Willingness to travel nationwide 30‑40 % and participate in a telephone on‑call duty; valid class B driver’s licence.
• Fluent German and good English, both written and spoken.
