Elixir/Phoenix Developer
Hybrid: once a week in Marburg, Germany
Type of Contract: Permanent Contract
🗣 Languages Required: German and English (C1 level or higher)
Candidates must be in Germany and possess a valid work permit for Germany

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and innovative Developer with expertise in Elixir and Phoenix. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining our payment system, which relies on a PostgreSQL database. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to create a seamless and efficient payment processing system.

✅ Required Skills

• Minimum 3 – 4 years of professional experience developing with Elixir and the Phoenix framework
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Familiarity with building payment systems or financial applications is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services standards.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1 level or higher)
• Be able to travel once a week to Marburg
• Is hybrid position so is mandatory that candidates live in Germany or have European citizenship

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Design and implement database structures and efficient queries using PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize a secure payment platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features for the payment system.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through continuous monitoring and optimization.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
