Embedded Software Developer

Overview

ProPursuit is currently looking for an experienced Embedded Engineer for an illumination client of ours within the Dortmund region.

This role is a hybrid working module, 2-3 days onsite per week and requires fluency in German.

Responsibilities

• As a permanent member of our software development team, you will actively participate in the design and further development of embedded software solutions.
• They use modern development and analysis tools to ensure high software quality and development efficiency.
• Working closely with internal and external partners, you will assume responsibility from early system definition to series production readiness.
• Furthermore, you will support the team in security and certification matters, as well as in the preparation of relevant documentation.
• They actively participate in testing processes as well as the planning and execution of releases.

Qualifications

• They have completed vocational training in the IT field or a successfully completed degree in electrical and information engineering.
• They possess several years of professional experience in embedded software development and are proficient in C/C++ as well as Python or a comparable scripting language.
• They possess a strong awareness of quality, an analytical approach to work, and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration.
• They are familiar with RTOS- or embedded Linux-based systems.
• They are proficient in modern development processes, including CI/CD, automated testing, and version control.
• Experience in the use of modern AI-supported development tools would be a plus
• Fluency in German and English are required
