My client, part of one of the leading global manufacturers in automotive technology and systems, is seeking an experienced Embedded System Developer to expand their team in Berlin.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and maintain embedded software solutions for electronic control units and battery‑related systems
• Translate customer needs into clear technical and functional requirements
• Ensure software quality through structured unit‑ and component‑level testing
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define suitable microcontrollers and peripheral components
• Support bring‑up and commissioning of early hardware prototypes
• Work with and continuously improve existing development environments and workflows (e.g., Git‑based systems, C#, Python, automated build and deployment pipelines)

Qualifications:

• Academic qualification in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Proven industry experience in embedded software development, particularly in C and C++
• Practical experience with model‑driven development tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and TargetLink
• Solid understanding of low‑level and hardware‑near software
• Strong knowledge of in‑vehicle or industrial communication interfaces (e.g., CAN bus systems)
• Ability to work professionally in both German and English
