This position requires an experienced professional responsible for the design and development of the body-in-white of a world-class vehicle in terms of styling and function Your Role Create and develop innovative Body in White (BIW) components in aluminum and/or steel to achieve best-in-class vehicle packaging, weight, cost, Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) and crash performance.Work closely with CAE and vehicle testing teams to interpret and use analysis results to guide and evolve the design.Work with manufacturing to ensure efficient buildable designs.Deliver best-in-class craftmanship and fit/finish.Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment. Qualifications Educational background in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Specialization in automotive engineering is preferred.Expertise in vehicle body-in-white design. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.Proficiency in Catia V5/V6 and a good knowledge of GD&T is required.Proven ability to integrate state-of-the-art design and manufacturing methods into product design.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with achieving excellence as core principle.Experience in complete vehicle development life cycle - from concept to SOP is required.
