Job Title: Founding Engineer for an Expo App / React Native Developer (Volunteer / Part-Time) Help us build the app that ends loneliness, one meetup at a time.About 4some We created 4some because we're so damn fed up with how social media and dating apps promise us connection but deliver isolation instead, while heavily profiting from that. Role: React Native DeveloperLocation: Remote (occasional meetups in Berlin)Commitment: Part-time volunteer (with potential paid milestones)You’ll work closely with our CTO, Founding and LLM engineer to turn research + matching logic into a polished mobile experience. What you’ll buildCore screens & flows: onboarding, ask-Gigi chat, interest & availability capture, quick “open to meet” toggle, RSVP, and lightweight profiles.Meetup & group chat: create/join meetups, small-group chat, share/invite links, safety cues, and simple reporting.Notifications & deep links: time/location based nudges, “3 nearby are in” social proof, and one-tap join from push.Data plumbing: integrate Firebase (Firestore/Storage), Clerk auth, analytics, error tracking, and basic offline handling.Polish & perf: fast list UIs, optimistic updates, accessibility passes, and E2E happy-path tests.
