Engineer or Scientist (m/f/div)

The Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden e. V. (IFW Dresden) conducts modern materials research on a scientific basis for the development of new and sustainable materials and technologies. The Institute for Metallic Materials offers within the working group Acoustic Microsystems within the SAWLab Saxony of the IFW Dresden a position for an Engineer or Scientist (m/f/div) in the technology‑transfer related field of non‑invasive liquid mixing for technical applications. The position starts earliest at , is full‑time, limited to a minimum of 20 months, and part‑time work is also possible.

Main tasks and profile

As a successful candidate you should have a Master/Diplom or PhD in Material Science, Process Engineering, Microsystems Technology or a related field. You have hands‑on experience in 2D/3D CAD and prototyping techniques. Experience with microsystems/chip fabrication, acoustofluidic/microfluidic systems and/or radio‑frequency experimental setups is beneficial. Very good written and spoken English and a distinctive ability and enthusiasm to work in an international, interdisciplinary team complete your profile.

The employment relationship, including the salary, is according to the German tariff TV‑L and is task‑related up to pay group 12 to 13 TV‑L.
