Role Overview

At Huntsman Advanced Materials we are looking for an experienced and driven Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join our site leadership team in Bad Säckingen. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our automotive transformation, with a special focus on Automotive CAPEX implementation and operational excellence.

Role Responsibilities

Your Mission

As our Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will:

• Lead and deliver major CAPEX projects – with a primary focus on automotive-related investments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
• Drive operational reliability and asset integrity – oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance for production, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Champion EHS and compliance – ensure all activities meet Huntsman’s rigorous safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, etc.).
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement – work closely with site management, production, supply chain, and external partners to support new product introductions and process changes.
• Develop and inspire your team – lead, coach, and empower a skilled group of technicians, building a high-performance culture.

Experience and Competencies

What We’re Looking For

We are searching for a pragmatic, hands‑on leader with:

• A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
• 3+ years’ experience in engineering and maintenance roles within manufacturing, ideally with a strong automotive or chemical background.
• Proven success in managing large-scale CAPEX projects and delivering technical readiness for automotive standards and audits.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A proactive, hands‑on, can‑do attitude
• Fluency in German and English.
• A passion for safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
