Job Description

Shape the future of Scalable’s new fully vertically integrated investment and brand new banking platform. Scalable’s Broker, digital Wealth Management and Credit offerings are seamlessly integrated into a newly developed technology platform.

Responsibilities

• Build our new fully vertically integrated investment platform to serve our customers using cutting‑edge technology and modern software development practices.
• Empower and manage a team of engineers, helping them shape their individual careers and grow the team to become self‑organised, agile and autonomous.
• Provide technical expertise and share best practices with your team.
• Build & integrate new features by working with our Product and Design Teams.
• Organise, prioritise and achieve business goals with your team and Product.
• Be part of the recruitment process to attract potential new colleagues or team members.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences) or a comparable qualification.
• Previous experience as a backend developer (Java, Kotlin), preferably for cloud infrastructures / event‑based asynchronous architectures.
• Profound understanding of software development process, loosely‑coupled distributed architectures and RESTful API design.
• Passion for other people’s development and technical excellence.
• Extreme sense of ownership.
• Strong analytical thinking, both in the technical and in the product domain.
• Excellent communication skills that are clear, concise, and targeted towards your audience – engineering, product, or other stakeholders.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Background in financial services is a strong plus.
