Your Future Challenges

  • You lead a small, high‑impact team developing our high‑performance DDoS mitigation system. You conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and drive career growth while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • You partner with our CTO to make critical design decisions, optimize performance, and ensure scalability to handle 10+ Gbps of traffic with minimal latency.
  • You analyze existing and emerging L3/L4 attack vectors, design mitigation strategies, and implement detection systems to protect customers from malicious actors.
  • You architect and scale distributed software systems that analyze internet traffic across multiple POPs, leveraging intelligent traffic distribution and anycast‑based filtering to distinguish legitimate traffic from attacks.
  • You contribute hands‑on to critical components while managing delivery timelines, balancing technical debt, and ensuring our services meet both performance and business goals.

Your Skills

  • Deep expertise: 7+ years of systems programming experience in C and 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with a proven track record of mentoring engineers.
  • Performance‑driven: Experience building systems that process millions of packets per second using techniques like zero‑copy and CPU affinity.
  • Low‑level mastery: Strong knowledge of pointers, memory management, locks, and threads; ideally, experience with lockless programming concepts.
  • Engineering excellence: Skilled in data structures, algorithms, and paradigms; write code that is performant, maintainable, and secure.
  • Problem‑solving mindset: Passion for debugging complex systems, with hands‑on experience using tools such as gdb, valgrind, and strace.
  • Leadership & collaboration: Actively mentor team members, foster continuous learning, and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Language skills: Excellent communication skills in English or German.
