Overview

The Ticker Plant system is the beating heart of Bloomberg’s market data infrastructure, responsible for the storage and distribution of all Market Data. The system handles hundreds of billions of events across 100 million instruments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to design, develop, and release high-quality, maintainable code
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor engineers, helping them grow into leaders
• Foster a culture of high quality with a focus on automated testing and strong software development practices
• Partner closely with stakeholders to understand problems and solve them incrementally
• Inspire and motivate team members while supporting their career growth through coaching and mentoring
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and evolve software in alignment with broader organizational goals

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of software engineers
• Demonstrated technical leadership with a track record of delivering projects in an agile/incremental manner
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience working with stakeholders to communicate and manage expectations
• Experience working with a global team (optional)
• Experience developing scalable, resilient, low-latency and high-throughput distributed systems (optional)
