What you will be doing at DeepL?

We’re looking for a seasoned and motivated sales professional to help us rapidly grow our Enterprise footprint in the DACH public sector. You'll be responsible for building relationships with public sector businesses within DACH, being aware of the regulatory nuances, crafting a strategy for the region and enabling clients to leverage our forefront AI/ML translation technology — ultimately winning new business and capitalizing on those opportunities for expansion. You should have a proven track record as an Enterprise Account Executive selling SaaS strategically into this niche space.

Your Responsibilities

  • Present our market‑leading translation service to clients to eliminate language barriers.
  • Become an ambassador for DeepL’s products and an expert on our customers’ needs to troubleshoot and rapidly resolve inquiries.
  • Qualify and convert leads, manage the entire sales cycle, and serve as a trusted partner to potential new business and existing customers.
  • Meet and exceed monthly activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
  • Build a pipeline of new public sector business and pursue upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Respond to a large volume of inbound prospects and customers, managing opportunities from qualification to close.
  • Forecast and track all opportunity and customer details including use cases, purchase timeframes, and next steps.
  • Work closely with our diverse, international teams from SDR to Marketing.

Qualities we look for

  • Experienced in Enterprise software sales specifically into DACH public sector.
  • Experience selling into and expanding large Enterprise accounts, emerging technologies, and winning new logos.
  • Consistently overachieving against sales quotas.
  • Ability to collaborate with and orchestrate cross‑functional teams.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced start‑up environment, able to shift priorities and adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Fluent reading/writing in both English and German (C1/C2).
