Environmental Senior Associate – EDP Renewables

Location: Germany (München or Leipzig preferred; relocation support and flexible workspace for the entire duration.)

What you will do

Oversee environmental management across all sectors of EDPR Germany:

• Perform environmental feasibility studies and support the preparation of environmental authorisations for wind farms in development.
• Assist the contracting team in the management and assessment of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and contractor‑led environmental studies.
• Lead the implementation of environmental measures during construction and operation, ensuring compliance with permits and environmental obligations.
• Audit project sites and contractor documentation, follow‑up on non‑compliance issues, and analyse ecological studies during the operational phase.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to monitor and mitigate environmental impacts across wind and solar projects.

Requirements

• Graduate or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in wind or solar project development.
• Strong knowledge of national and European environmental legislation, particularly EIA requirements for renewable projects.
• Fluent in German and English; German driving licence.
• Excellent written and oral German communication skills and strong report‑writing ability.
• Stakeholder management, independent work capability, and collaborative team attitude.
