We are seeking a highly motivated Equipment Engineer Intern for the Body Shop, with a focus on robotics. In this role, you will provide key organizational and administrative support within the maintenance team. You will contribute to advanced robotic systems through predictive maintenance projects, collaborate with various stakeholders to address challenging issues, manage spare parts, and assets to drive operational excellence. This internship offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic environment, preparing you for a career in high‑tech manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced setting to resolve complex issues, define goals, track progress, and report results.
  • Support engineering tests and trials of manufacturing equipment using cutting‑edge robotic technologies.
  • Optimize robotic systems by analyzing data and contributing to predictive maintenance projects.
  • Manage asset processes to ensure equipment reliability and high performance.
  • Develop planning standards, methods, and procedures to sustain robust PM and TPM processes.
  • Create and maintain essential documentation, including machine specifications, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and spare parts inventories.
  • Investigate technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable countermeasures to enhance manufacturing equipment

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong communication skills in both German and English.
  • Practical hands‑on experience from personal or academic projects.
  • Experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc and KUKA) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and physics principles.
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, process flow diagrams, and technical formulas.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a quick learning ability.
  • A mindset focused on processes and continuous improvement.
  • Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP or PMI) are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
