Job Title: Communication Systems Engineer (f/m/d) - Limited Contract
Please note that this position is initially limited to two years. Location: Donauwörth, Germany, at the on-site site on the banks of the river Danube. The team focuses on the design, development, integration and certification of Navigation & Communication Systems for Airbus Helicopters platforms.
Join the Navigation & Communication systems design office team as a System Design Responsible. We have multiple developments planned and are looking for you to join now.
Responsibilities
- Act as System Design Responsible for COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) equipment in the area of communication systems (antennas, radios, transponders, etc.) for different helicopters.
- Integrate communications systems (mechanical, electrical, functional).
- Follow-up ECR/ECP progress and deliver related activities on time (IDD, Ground/Flight test requests, Certification file).
- Ensure communication with suppliers for the systems you are in charge of.
- Provide support to FAL (Final Assembly Line).
You will have a large number of interfaces including major multi-national suppliers, other system teams, bench and flight test teams, safety, airworthiness, and customer support. The role requires the ability to work and prioritize flexibly within large transnational teams. Strong technical rigor, clear communication, and solid project management capabilities are valuable assets.
Qualifications
- An aeronautical/systems/avionics engineering degree (or equivalent).
- Curiosity and appetite for system development.
- Excellent communication skills, decision-making ability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Willingness to learn and openness to change, new methodologies and technologies.
- Ability to speak and work in English.
This position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Desirable keywords: English language capability; ability to work in international teams.
