Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side APIs, data models, and business logic powering the platform.
• Integrate telecom systems into the platform to ensure seamless interaction with external partner infrastructure.
• Assess and implement REST APIs from telecom partners for compatibility and alignment with business requirements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver backend solutions, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues from customers and partners related to the backend platform promptly and effectively.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address critical backend issues quickly.
• Enhance platform architecture for improved scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Maintain high code quality through clean, well-documented code and adherence to best practices.
• Develop reusable, modular backend components to support scalability and maintainability.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure robust deliverables.
• Stay current with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and cloud best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to uphold quality standards.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of backend development processes and tools.

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a backend software engineer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable backend systems.
• Deep expertise in backend technologies: Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, RESTful API design and implementation, cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Strong ability to design, code, test, and maintain backend applications with a focus on high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Experience with integrating external APIs and systems into complex backend architectures.
• Comfort working with tight deadlines and delivering impactful projects efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written, to convey complex backend designs and decisions.
• A collaborative mindset and experience working in cross-functional, remote-friendly teams.
• A passion for solving backend and systems-related problems and the ability to debug complex production issues.
• A business-focused approach to backend development; always keeping reliability, customer needs, and project goals in mind.
• A growth mindset; eager to learn, improve, and stay ahead in backend engineering practices.
