By joining our B2B Retail Marketplace team as (Senior) Sales and Relationships Manager, you will create a real and lasting impact for the environment while working hand-in-hand with the founders to unlock the $3tr retail excess stock market and experience a scaling venture from day 1!

About the role

As Expansion Manager - Retail Partnerships DACH, you’ll be the key link between smatch and the sport & outdoor retail world. You’ll use your industry knowledge and network to identify new partners, close deals, and build long-term relationships with retailers and wholesalers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Targeting High-Value Leads: Identify, approach, and onboard large-scale retail giants and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strategic Growth: Act as a smart, driven generalist to lead our expansion efforts within the DACH region.
  • End-to-End Partnership Management: Manage the full cycle of partnership development, from first contact and pitch to the final integration on the smatch marketplace.
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex corporate structures to reach decision-makers and build long-lasting, trust-based relationships.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a clean and high-velocity sales pipeline using Pipedrive, ensuring consistent growth for our buyer network.
  • Team Synergy: Work closely with our internal operations and tech teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new major partners.

About you

  • Profile: You are a smart, driven generalist with a strong desire to make an impact in a fast-scaling tech environment.
  • Experience: While extensive industry experience is not mandatory, you have a proven track record of successful business development or expansion work.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
  • Mindset: High entrepreneurial drive and the ability to solve problems independently in a high-growth startup.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfortable using data to track performance and refine your sales strategy.
