The Role : Experienced Accountant

They are looking for an autonomous, technically strong and entrepreneurial Accountant to take full responsibility for the accounting of several operational entities in Germany.

Based in Munich, you will manage the day-to-day accounting activities across multiple legal entities and interact regularly with teams located in different German cities, as well as with the Group Finance function based in Luxembourg.

You will also liaise with stakeholders in both Germany and Luxembourg, ensuring financial accuracy and contributing to the structuring of a scalable and robust finance function.

This role offers the opportunity to join the group at an early stage, take ownership, and grow alongside the business.

Responsibilities for the Experienced Accountant role

• Take full ownership of accounting operations across several German entities,
• Maintain accurate and timely books — with full technical autonomy,
• Manage month-end closings, reconciliations, and statutory accounts,
• Handle VAT returns, tax filings, and compliance tasks in coordination with advisors,
• Coordinate with payroll providers, banks, and external auditors,
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in different German locations and the Group Finance team in Luxembourg,
• Help design and implement processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks,
• Support group-level reporting and consolidation initiatives,
• Contribute to the future structuring of a scalable finance function in Germany.

Profile for the Experienced Accountant role

Experience

• 4–6 years in accounting or finance, ideally in a start‑up, scale‑up or fast-moving SME,
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP, tax and local compliance,
• Fluent in German & English,
• Proven ability to operate independently and manage end‑to‑end accounting,
• Experience with multiple entities or group structures is a plus,
• Background in accounting firms or audit is appreciated.
