Experienced Physical Design Engineer (m/w/d)

Join the Mobileye VLSI team, a group dedicated to designing the EyeQ chips for ADAS and autonomous vehicles. The team handles all aspects of VLSI development, including Logic Design, Design Verification, Microarchitecture, Analog and Circuit Design, Layout, Physical and Structural Design (backend), and Product and Test Engineering. Each Physical Design engineer is responsible for the entire process, from definition and execution to full sign-offs, collaborating closely with design and architecture teams for constraints development, design review, and RTL modifications to ensure convergence.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our growing Physical Design Team, responsible for state-of-the-art SoC design from definition to Tape-Out.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning physical design blocks from RTL to GDS.
• Exploring floorplanning in collaboration with front-end and architecture teams.
• Managing STA with FE and floor planners to handle block and top-level constraints and initial timing analysis.
• Conducting synthesis exploration, final synthesis netlist creation, scan insertion, and performing clean checks with tools like Lint, UPF, and Spyglass.
• Executing Place & Route from synthesis netlist to final layout, ensuring optimal power, performance, and area, along with signoff verification.

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in physical design.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, Perl, or tcsh.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills, customer focus, and a proactive attitude.
• Experience in building or maintaining implementation tools and flow is a plus.
