Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.* This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.* Business Travel Requirement: You will be required to travel up to 50% of your working time to collaborate with different stakeholders and other Boeing locations**Position responsibilities:*** Develop solutions for complex system engineering tasks in the domain of avionic software and design.* Describe architecture requirements and software specifications and communicate them to development teams when necessary.* Lead, mentor, develop a team of engineers focused on the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft software and systems, with focus on cultivating a safety-first mindset.* Explore new technologies and development approaches and assess their feasibility in your field of work.**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):*** Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science* Experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification* 5+ years of experience in software or system engineering* Familiar with standard development practices and tools (e.g., Git, Git Flow).**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):*** 12+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience* 12+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and agile software engineering best practices* 9+ years of experience developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems* 9+ years of experience leading software development projects* 5+ years of experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB Simulink* 5+ years of experience of working with one or multiple of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript******Language Requirements:******Not Applicable**Education:**Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent**Relocation:**Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.**Security Clearance:**This position does not require a Security Clearance.**Visa Sponsorship:**Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.**Contingent Upon Award Program**This position is not contingent upon program award**Shift:**Not a Shift Worker (Germany)
