We are now seeking an Experienced Software / System Engineer (m / f / d) in Neu-Isenburg Germany.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Neu-Isenburg. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Business Travel Requirement: You will be required to travel up to 50% of your working time to collaborate with different stakeholders and other Boeing locations.

Position responsibilities

• Develop solutions for complex system engineering tasks in the domain of avionic software and design.
• Describe architecture requirements and software specifications and communicate them to development teams when necessary.
• Lead mentor develop a team of engineers focused on the design analysis and testing of aircraft software and systems with focus on cultivating a safety-first mindset.
• Explore new technologies and development approaches and assess their feasibility in your field of work.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
• Experience in RTCA DO-178(B / C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification
• 5 years of experience in software or system engineering
• Familiar with standard development practices and tools (e.g. Git Git Flow).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)

• 12 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 12 years of experience in software development life cycles configuration management and agile software engineering best practices
• 9 years of experience developing documenting and maintaining architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software systems
• 9 years of experience leading software development projects
• 5 years of experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB Simulink
• 5 years of experience of working with one or multiple of the following programming languages: C C Java Python JavaScript
