The Expert Cyber Security (Infrastructure) (m/f/d) ensures that all infrastructure-related security controls including network, endpoint, email, and cloud are effectively implemented, operated, and continuously improved. This role provides ownership, assurance, and lifecycle management of these capabilities, ensuring that IT operations and managed service providers deliver according to defined security standards.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Product ownership & strategy: Define and maintain the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for infrastructure security controls (EDR/XDR, SASE, SIEM, cloud, email security, certificates, etc.).
• Control effectiveness & assurance: Continuously assess and validate that implemented controls are effective, aligned with standards, and manage relevant risks and threats.
• Planning & delivery oversight: Identify gaps, plan initiatives, and oversee implementation by IT or vendors to enhance control maturity and resilience.
• Performance measurement & reporting: Define, track, and report KPIs/KRIs to management, providing transparency on control performance and improvement status.
• Stakeholder & provider management: Coordinate with IT, Architecture, and service providers to ensure operational compliance, effective change management, and timely remediation.

Show your expertise

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, or product ownership.
• Proven track record in managing security technologies across network, endpoint, email, and cloud environments.
• Experience in coordinating with IT operations and external security service providers, as well as in delivering technology roadmaps and KPIs.
• Expertise in infrastructure and cloud security (SASE, proxies, EDR/XDR, NAC, Azure, AWS, M365) and in the application of zero trust and secure baselines (CIS, NIST).
• Ability to interpret and apply standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls in conjunction with strong analytical and reporting skills for KPIs, KRIs, and the effectiveness of controls.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to collaborate between IT, security and business teams.
• Proven leadership skills without formal authority; continuous improvement mindset and accountability for results.
