Expert Group Accounting – Quality Assurance (m/f/x)

Join ERGO Group AG as an integral part of the Expert Group Accounting team focusing on quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Review the reconciliation of local financial statements to IFRS and Solvency II for compliance with group manuals, documenting results and ensuring integration into ongoing work.
Support national and international subsidiaries on content and process issues related to the reporting package.
Maintain methodological competence for IFRS and Solvency II, provide quality assurance of reporting data at group level and serve as responsible contact for the group auditors.
Lead and participate in accounting projects and contribute to cross‑functional and cross‑divisional projects – particularly IFRS 17 implementation across the group.
Collaborate in mergers & acquisitions and post‑merger integration projects.

Qualifications

Successfully completed a university degree in economics and/or (business) mathematics, preferably with an international focus and emphasis on external (group) accounting, auditing, insurance, or related fields.
Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards (preferably IFRS 17 for insurance) and Solvency II reporting requirements; specialized knowledge in actuarial science, taxes, pension obligations, or capital investments is advantageous.
Excellent SAP knowledge – especially SEM‑BCS – and proficiency with standard office software.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse and present complex accounting issues in a clear verbal and graphical manner.
High level of commitment and strong communication skills combined with a high degree of independence and responsibility.
Ability to travel to international entities or participate in due diligence projects; short visits for several days and longer visits up to 1–2 weeks.
