External Communications Manager

We are currently looking for a collaborative, proactive colleague to join our External Communications Team, part of the Marketing & External Communications Department within Sales and Relationship Management. We are responsible for press and public relations for the Universal Investment Group across all our target markets worldwide.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Support the development and rollout of external communications plans and campaigns across UI Group’s key markets.
• Draft high‑quality content – including press releases, statements, speeches, social media posts, Q&As, media briefings, and other communications materials – in both English and German.
• Ensure consistent implementation of corporate messaging across all external communications.
• Provide strategic communications guidance to leadership, including messaging recommendations and preparation for interviews, events, and speaking engagements.
• Monitor media coverage, trends, and competitive activity to support strategy and reporting.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media representatives and build a strong internal network across the UI Group.
• Support crisis and issue communications, including drafting reactive statements and ensuring internal alignment.

Your skills and experience:

• A proven track record of professional experience in external communications, including the development and execution of communication initiatives. Experience in a financial firm or financial PR agency is a plus.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills in English and German, with the ability to turn complex insights into clear messaging.
• Self‑motivated and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership for tasks and projects.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in social media, MS office, and relevant IT applications (design skills are a plus)
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external networks, including effective stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
