Job Description:

External Interface Security - Function Owner & Security Technology Coordinator Support

Experience: 8 to 13 Years

Responsibilities:

FO/Co-ordination:

• Assist in Change requests and cross functional specification (QLAH/SW specs) requirements management
• Support in Change Control boards
• Support test specification creation
• Coordinate with suppliers on SW issues and Specifications.
• Support Security Tech team coordination and external suppliers.
• Support in Security Technology Release Recommendation and homologation documentation
• Assist in reviewing security concepts and QLAH (VW Stand compliance) compliance.
• Aligning with Function Owners on cross functional Specification (QLAH requirements).
• Support Security Owners with requirement clarification and supplier coordination.
• Support creation and review of test specs and concepts.
• Assist in test implementation acceptance and defect discussions.
• Help define test scope and support evaluation phases.
• Report on security technology status in project meetings.

Job Requirement

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of security risks associated with external interfaces (USB, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi 802.11, cellular, V2X, WLANp 802.11p etc.).
• Experience in trace analysis tools (Wireshark) and interpreting network-level logs.
• Understanding Linux architecture on network-level.
• Experience implementing interface-specific security controls (e.g., authentication, encryption, packet filtering).
• Ability to conduct penetration testing on external interfaces.
• Familiarity with secure gateway architectures and isolation techniques.
• Profound knowledge of embedded security technologies, secure communication, and automotive standards.
• Experience with test management, requirements management platforms (e.g., Code Beamer, JIRA, KPM).
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting test data and deriving technical maturity grades.
• Effective communication and coordination with suppliers, test houses, and internal teams.
• Organisational skills for cross-brand process alignment and documentation management.
• Experience in software development for security technologies and ownership of secure software workflows.
